FORD Park Community Group has received a donation of more than £3,000 from a national £1m ‘Agency Giving Fund’ launched by NFU Mutual’s head office.
This donation will allow the Ford Park Community Group to manage and maintain the park, keeping it safe and accessible for the community.
It will also help vulnerable members of the park’s volunteering group to rejoin the team once it is safe to do so.
The group is a registered charity initially set up in 1998 to secure the future of the park for the local community.
In light of the national emergency this country is facing, NFU Mutual, the UK’s leading rural insurer, has allocated £1m to help local frontline charities at this difficult time.
To help ensure this support reaches all corners of the UK, NFU Mutual reached out to its appointed representative network of local agents of circa 300 independent agency businesses and 9 NFU Mutual branches - each given the opportunity to nominate a handful of local charities.
