LAST week’s picture - above - shows the Aynam Road side of Jenning’s Bridge, is a drinking fountain dated 1857, which is believed to be the same fountain that was situated in the old Fish Market at the top of Finkle Street. Jenning’s Bridge was originally two span, the first section from the park to the Mill Race, gently arched, and the second section to Aynam Road, level. The replacement bridge, is just a single span.
