Coniston Mountain Rescue Team
A MOUNTAIN biker died following an accident in the Lake District.
A Coniston Mountain Rescue Team (CMRT) spokesman said the man had been descending the Walna Scar track, near Coniston, on Sunday when the accident occurred.
CMRT attended the incident at around 2.30pm.
Two air ambulances also attended but paramedics were unable to save the man.
The CMRT spokesman said: "Our thoughts are with the gentleman's family and friends."
