A MAN has appeared in court after being charged with driving without due care and attention.

Jake Anderson pleaded guilty to the offence, which he committed on the A590 near Newby Bridge on June 25.

The 27-year-old also admitted that he failed to cooperate with a roadside breath test.

For the offences, Anderson, of Ellwood Avenue in Lancaster, was fined £80 and £40.

He was also given six penalty points and told to pay £85 in costs and a £34 to fund victim services.
