MOUNTAIN rescuers were called out after a 12-year-old fell and twisted his knee at a Yorkshire Dales beauty spot.
The Clapham-based Cave Rescue Organisation (CRO) attended the incident on the steps to the side of Malham Cove at around 5.50pm on Saturday.
A CRO spokesman said the boy was unable to bend or straighten his leg.
The injury was splinted and the casualty stretchered to a team vehicle for transport down to Malham.
The boy was then taken to hospital by his family.
