TWO television stars have swapped sunning it up abroad for basking in the beauty of the Lake District.

Love Island couple, Olivia and Alex Bowen, have been showing off the wonders of the Lakes on their social media platforms.

Olivia found fame on series two of the dating show back in 2016. It was during her time in Majorca that Olivia met and fell in love with Brummie scaffolder Alex Bowen, who proposed months after the final

Since then, the couple have catapulted to international fame, regularly jetting off to luxury resorts all over the world.

However, for their most recent vacation the pair enjoyed a trip away to the stunning Lake District, visiting beauty hotspots like Derwentwater and Aira Force.

Olivia shared the couple's adventures in Cumbria on her Instagram, writing 'Lake District you were cute' in her most recent post to her 2.4 million followers.

As well as this, the television celebrity shared photos in Ullswater and Derwentwater.

Tony Watson, Head of Commercial Services and Communications for the Lake District National Park Authority said he is 'delighted' so many famous faces are choosing the Lakes for holidays.
