Center Parcs has opened four luxury Treehouses at its Whinfell Forest village in Cumbria. The new accommodation offering is available to book now and opened to guests on 24 August 2020. Whinfell Forest is the fifth Center Parcs village to have Treehouses available to guests and the four new builds include one which is specially adapted for those with limited mobility. The adapted Treehouse is built on four extra columns, providing increased space and wheelchair accessible features throughout.

Each Treehouse offers breath-taking views of their forest surroundings, sitting as high as eleven metres amongst the treetops. With Cumbria having recently been voted the third best holiday destination in the UK, Whinfell Forest’s Treehouses offer the perfect opportunity for a relaxing staycation in the forest. They are uniquely placed to look towards the Lake District’s Eastern Fells, a UNESCO world heritage site.

Center Parcs’ most luxurious accommodation, Treehouses feature four en-suite bedrooms with private balconies, an outdoor hot tub, gas barbeque, sauna, games den, and a large open plan living space and kitchen. Their interiors have been thoughtfully designed with guest comfort, experience, and sustainability in mind. The decking has been made with recycled plastic and the wood sustainably sourced. The build, which began before the village was forced to close in March, represents a £4 million investment into Whinfell Forest.

Center Parcs reopened to guests on the 13 July with social distancing and new safety measures in place. These include reduced numbers of guests per break, enhanced cleaning programmes, cashless payments and pre-bookable Subtropical Swimming Paradise sessions. To ensure that guests have a memorable short break experience from the minute they arrive, each Treehouse comes with two dedicated parking spaces, one with an electric charging point, and a Treehouse host who is on hand to help guests with anything they might need during their stay.

Glen Franklin, Village Director at Whinfell Forest said: ‘After a challenging few months I’m thrilled that our Treehouses are completed and ready to open to guests. They are looking spectacular and everyone at Whinfell Forest is so excited to finally have them.

‘I can’t think of many better places than Cumbria to relax in a hot tub high amongst the trees and enjoy the beautiful views of our natural forest.’

Center Parcs is a leading provider of short breaks in the UK and Ireland, and offers on-site restaurants, spa and up to 200 indoor and outdoor activities for guests to choose from.
