A MAN who stole more than £1,000 in cosmetics has been jailed.
Paul David White appeared before South Cumbria Magistrates' Court after he was charged with stealing the items from Boots in Ambleside on August 31and September 19.
The 38-year-old admitted that he stole £647 and between £400 and £500 of items in the two raids at the Market Cross chemist.
Magistrates sentenced White, of Mandley Park Avenue in Salford, to 10 weeks in prison for both offences and told him to pay £1047 in compensation to Boots.
