THE volunteers of the Heversham and Hincaster Contact Line remain available to help local residents who are experiencing practical difficulties as a result of the pandemic.
The Contact Line was a joint initiative by St Peter's Church, Heversham Parish Council, Hincaster Parish Meeting, and the WI at the beginning of lockdown.
Around 40 people volunteered to respond to requests for help through it and they have provided a much-valued service.
At the moment there is little call on it, but it has been decided to keep the Contact Line running so that it is available if it is needed - especially if Covid measures once again make it difficult for some people to shop, collect prescriptions or do other practical tasks.
Anyone wanting assistance is invited to ring 07545 103583 between 9am and 5pm.
