KENDAL RUFC have announced plans to put on a special half term rugby camp this month.

The camp will be open for players between Under 9s and Under 14s.

All abilities and levels of experience are welcome to join the daily sessions from Wednesday, October 28 to Friday, October 30.

The club announced the camp on its website.

"The camp will run from 10am to 3pm each day and includes a range of rugby skills, activities and games all using the CARDS principles. Developing Creativity, Awareness, Resilience, Decision making and Self-Organisation; the coaching approach prepares players for life on and off the pitch.

"The participant will be working within their age groups as much as possible. Camp participants receive five hours of coaching from DBS cleared RFU qualified Staff, headed by Founder of Home Grown Sports Development and Head Coach of the Kendal Men's squads Garry Holmes.

"All attendees need to bring a packed lunch (if not pre-ordered at booking), water-bottle and weather-appropriate rugby clothing. This should include trainers as well as boots, shorts and tracksuit bottoms, warm tops, mouth guard, waterproof top, warm hat and sun cream (Some of this list may be subject to the weather conditions)."

Options for a hot or cold lunch can be booked.

Players can choose between sausage bun and chips with a drink and ham or cheese Sandwiches, a packet of crisps, a piece of fruit and a drink.
