A BAKERY is urging the public to 'be kind' after making two full time members of staff redundant due to the pandemic.

Delish in Crellin Street, Barrow is calling for kindness after losing business after the coronavirus crisis.

The bakery was forced to let go of two full time staff members to survive during the pandemic.

A spokesman for Delish said: "Due to Covid and losing out on a lot of our business, we unfortunately had to lose two full time members of staff.

"Suddenly we have gone to being the busiest we have ever been, which is amazing but we know it is only for the next month so getting quality temporary staff is difficult.

"All our current members of staff are working incredibly hard and doing their best to make sure no one is disappointed.

"As all of our pies and other bits are hand made, so much work and time goes into them, so when we do run out it is not very easy to just create more.

"Please understand this and be kind, we are all trying our best to keep Christmas pies coming."
