A FOODBANK has had to make some changes in order to keep volunteers, clients and donors safe.
Barrow Foodbank has said it will be unable to provide school visits and internal tours for their donors in the run up to Christmas this year.
The foodbank has also asked that large donations be pre-booked to ensure social distancing is adhered to thoroughly.
A spokesman said: "At the Foodbank we have stayed open throughout 2020 to support our clients, in order to do this we have had to change some of the ways we work to protect our volunteers, our clients and our donors.
"As we approach Christmas and our busiest time we need to continue to work differently to keep people safe.
"So sadly, we can’t offer school visits and internal tours for donors this year, donors can still drop off safely at the rear of the building and we’re asking for any large donations to be pre-booked (01229 343436) so we can receive it in a safe and socially distanced way."
"Thank you so much for your support. Stay safe and we hope to welcome everyone back inside in 2021."
