Barrow AFC manager Michael Jolley has outlined what he believes some of the club's new faces can bring to his side.

Monday saw Dan Bramall, Tom Davies and Ollie Banks all join Jolley’s side before Jamie Devitt signed for the Bluebirds on Tuesday.

Bramall joins Barrow on loan from Championship side Barnsley and Jolley believes the former Everton youth player can shine at Holker Street.

Speaking to the club's website, Jolley said: “He’s a really quick, attacking player who predominantly plays as a winger, but he can play further inside or as a central striker as well.

“He’s done really well in under-23s football with Barnsley and he’s had a good footballing education at Everton before that so we’re looking forward to seeing what he can bring.”

In addition to Bramall, Davies has also joined on loan, with the defender arriving from Bristol Rovers.

Davies was attracting the attention of other clubs and Jolley is now delighted that the 28-year-old penned a deal with his side.

“I think the only reason we’ve been able to get him is because he’s had a tough time with injuries, and he’s missed some football,” Jolley added.

“He brings leadership, quality and experience to the defence, he will help the younger players around him.

"He’s another in the mould of Neal Eardley who I think will be a really reliable performer for us.”

Eardley was Jolley’s first signing as Barrow boss, joining on loan from Burton Albion earlier this month.

The right-back was part of the Lincoln City side who won promotion from League Two in 2019, alongside Tranmere Rovers.

Fellow new signing Ollie Banks played a pivotal role as Rovers briefly returned to League One, scoring against Forest Green Rovers in the play-off semi-finals.

Jolley will be looking to use Banks’ League Two experience, as he aims to steer his team away from relegation.

He said: “He’s played for some big clubs at this level and done well so he’s somebody we feel can add to what we’ve got.

“He’s a good character, another we’ve done our research on.

"I think he will bring a lot to the changing room and the team when he plays.”

The window is set to close on Monday, February 1.
