DISEASED ash trees are to be felled along a railway line on the edge of Kendal, it has been announced.
The trees that will be removed are afflicted with ash dieback and are within falling distance of the Windermere to Oxenholme line.
The work will be taking place to the east of Bluebell Close and Valley Drive, on the eastern edge of Kendal.
South Lakeland District Council said the work would begin this Monday and be carried out by Network Rail.
