PARTS of Cumbria are set for heavy rain and high winds today, prompting a weather warning from the Met Office.

A warning has been issued to a number of areas in South Cumbria, including Millom, Broughton and Grange.
Rainfall is expected to ease off by tomorrow, the Met Office has said, with sunnier spells forecast for the remainder of the week.
High river and lake levels are also possible on Great Langdale Beck, River Brathay, River Rothay, Trout Beck, Mill Beck, Cunsey Beck, Windermere lake, Rusland Pool, River Eea, River Winster and their tributaries.
People are urged to avoid using low-lying footpaths near rivers and plan driving routes to avoid low-lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded.
