BUSINESSES have revealed when they will be reopening their doors under the new four-step plan to ease England's lockdown.

On Monday, Prime Minister Boris Johnson unveiled a roadmap out of the nation's lockdown in the coming months.

Shops, hairdressers, gyms and outdoor hospitality could reopen on 12 April in England under plans set out by the PM.

Indoor hospitality and hotels are also set to open from May 17, followed by the removal of all legal limits on social contact from June 21.

The New Union in Stricklandgate, Kendal has confirmed it is reopening in April for beer garden service only after the announcement.

The Angel Inn in Bowness has announced it is reopening on May 17 subject to Government advice.

A spokesman said: "We are so excited with this information that brings hope for the future which means we get to see you all soon."

The Joshua Tree Bistro in Stramongate, Kendal is planning on opening its outside dining area in April for alfresco dining.

Haven Lakeland Leisure Park in Grange has announced plans to reopen the park on April 12 following the Government update.

The Coniston Inn confirmed it will reopen its doors on May 17.

A spokesman said: "This is subject to Government advice, however we are so excited with this information that brings hope for the future which means we get to see you all soon."

The Watermill Inn in Ings announced it will be opening its accommodation as well as its indoor drinking and dining services from May 17.

The venue said it is exploring the viability of opening outdoors only, from April 12 which would be on an 'ad hoc' basis.

The Macdonald Old England Hotel & Spa in Windermere confirmed the provisional re-opening of its doors to guests from May 17.

A spokesman said: "We will keep you posted on any changes but there is finally some light at the end of this very long tunnel for the hospitality industry.

"It has be a tough 12 months for the hotel and our team, but the road map to opening brings excitement and positiveness for the future."

The Cranleigh in Barrow revealed it is taking bookings from April 12, offering a number of luxurious self contained options.
