A WELL-known Ulverston farmer is set to feature on Armstrong Watson’s popular webinar series ‘An Audience With...’.

Will Case of Plumpton Cottage Farm, is one of two new names announced to take part in the firm’s special online programme of events, and will share his story with host Andrew Robinson, Head of Agriculture, during a live webinar on April 28 from 7-8pm.

Annabel Hamilton, a young Borders farmer who has helped diversify her family business, is also part of the line-up for 2021, and Yorkshire cattle and sheep farmer Jim Beary, who writes for Farmers Guardian, was the latest guest to share an insight into his success.

Father-of-three Will, who is an NFU ambassador, has worked tirelessly to ensure his farm business can thrive, diversifying into dairy and free-range hens alongside his livestock trade.

Will comes from a farming family steeped in 400 years of tradition. He has worked alongside his brother and parents to successfully diversify their business into two viable farms. He will share how the family has made the best of what they have and how they have safeguarded the wider family’s livelihood for future generations.

Andrew Robinson said: “We’ve got two more great names lined up for the spring. I’m really looking forward to discussing the broad range of farming practices that Will and Annabel employ at their farms in Cumbria and Berwickshire. I know they have some very interesting stories of family succession and diversification.”

Will said: “I’m looking forward to talking about family farming, succession and trying to make the most of what we’ve got. Hopefully it’s a good night.”

An Audience With… aims to help bolster future success in agriculture. Running throughout 2021, it will feature industry experts and local farmers.
