Windermere Jetty Museum has added a centurion boat to its fleet.
‘Merlin’, the Windermere 17 class is thought to be the oldest surviving boat of this type still on the water.
Measuring 17 feet in length, the historical boat was built in 1908 and was gifted to the museum.
She was introduced to the water at the museum on April 12.
The museum celebrates boating industry and engineering throughout the years and is committed to conserving, saving and sharing its internationally renowned collection, to which the new boat is a welcome addition.
Windermere Jetty Museum’s Lakeshore café and heritage boat trips are currently open to the public, while the rest of the venue remains closed due to Covid-19.
