PLANS to build a new all-weather running track at a primary school have been approved.
South Lakeland District Council has given the thumbs up for St Marys R C School in Springfield Road, Ulverston to build an all weather, permeable running track.
The council also gave the green light for the school to build a shelter for children to use during adverse weather.
The application states that there will also be no loss of sport pitches and they will be repositioned, taking advantage of the reclaimed space.
