PLAYGROUND litter has been found in Kendal by the district council yesterday.
South Lakeland District Council (SLDC), have taken to social media to show a photograph of the large quantities of litter, that has been reported. Although not saying which specific playground they discovered the litter in.
Online the council warns that: "Our locality teams carry out regular playground inspections and this litter was spotted in one of our Kendal play areas this morning.
"Please help everyone to stay safe and have fun by using the bins or taking your rubbish home.
Guidance's issued by SLDC said: "Litter is unsightly, spoiling our public spaces and damaging to the environment and wildlife.
"We provide and empty over 850 litter bins across our district.
"The bins can be used for dog waste, but it has to be in a bag.
"We empty bins at busy places up to four times a day, main street and playground bins are emptied daily and bins in villages and quieter places are emptied weekly."
SLDC has issued an integrative map to show the location of the public bins they empty. This can be viewed on this link.
