Holiday homeowners in Cumbria could be in with a chance of winning £10,000 as part of a nationwide search for Britain’s Best Holiday Let.

Rental agency Sykes Holiday Cottages is calling on property owners to come forward this summer and showcase their holiday homes – whether it be a quaint cottage, luxurious apartment or quirky glamping retreat.

Not only will the overall winning entry receive the £10,000 cash prize, with several categories to enter, property owners could also win further cash prizes and free consultancy and advice from the experts at Sykes.

As well as Britain’s Best Holiday Let, other categories include Best Renovation, Best Quirky Holiday Let, Best Sustainable Holiday Let, Best Interior Design and Best Property With a View.

Holiday homeowners keen to enter should visit sykes.io/HolidayLetCompetition2021 and simply need to share a short summary of why they deserve to win.

Entries are open now and run until September 13, and T&Cs apply.

The competition will be judged by Sykes’ chief executive officer Graham Donoghue, alongside The Times’ deputy property and personal finance editor Carol Lewis and The Holiday Let Success podcaster Elaine Watt.

Mr Donoghue said: “We’ve launched these awards to recognise and reward the hard work of holiday let owners across the country.

“More and more travellers are opting for staycations over holidays on the continent.”
