Mountain rescue team honours long-term volunteer
A MOUNTAIN rescue team has honoured a member who has volunteered for more than 30 years.
Kirkby Stephen Mountain Rescue Team made a surprise presentation to one of its members who had served with the team for over 11 years.
A spokesman said: "At last Friday night's training, we were finally able to make a surprise presentation to one of our members.
"Frank Gillespie has been a member of the Team for 11 years, but was also with the Bowland Pennine team before moving to our area, making an unbroken run of MR volunteering of 30 years."
