A CARNFORTH family will be taking on a charity walk in memory of a beloved husband and father.

The Law family will be completing the Moon Light 2021 Walk in memory of David Law and have pledged to raise a minimum of £500 for the organisation.

Completing the walk will be David's wife Carol, her niece Georgia Bradley who set up the fundraiser, and Georgia's mum Dawn Bradley.

David's wife Carol said: "St John's hospice take absolutely 100% care of their patients. It's a great atmosphere with friendly staff who go above and beyond. They did an amazing job looking after my late husband.

"We love you, Dave. Forever in our hearts and never forgotten."

The walk takes place on September 11 at St John's Hospice and covers 14km (nine miles).

Georgia said: “We have decided to do the Moonlight Walk in memory of David Law to support the Hospice where he was cared for.

“The walk was announced on Facebook on what would have been David’s birthday this year, which is what made me sign up, and get the family together.

“My uncle was such a positive person and was throughout all of his treatment, he put up such a brave fight and the hospice provided a lot of support for him and the family.

“We just want to help raise some much-needed funds for such a worthwhile cause.”
