A RESCUE team respond to an incident were a woman slipped and badly cut her leg
Coniston Mountain Rescue team were asked by Cumbria Police to attend to a woman who had slipped and badly cut her leg near Tranearth, yesterday afternoon.
Two vehicles were deployed and able to drive most of the way to the casualty.
She was assessed and given pain relief whilst her leg was cleaned and dressed.
The woman was stretchered the short distance to the Land Rovers.
She was driven to where the family was staying as they were happy to take her to Furness General Hospital.
She later required stitches.
The Incident required 10 team members and it rescue lasted two hours and 40 minutes.
