FIREFIGHTERS have issued a reminder to residents after they attended an incident involving a carbon monoxide alarm.
Kendal White Watch urged people to ensure their boilers and any fossil fuel burning appliances have been fully checked ahead of the winter period.
A spokesman said: “As the weather gets colder our heating is getting turned on so, please ensure you have had your boiler fully checked as well as all your any fossil fuel burning appliances like wood burners etc.
“These should be checked and serviced at least once a year to ensure they are safe, as always make sure you have working smoke alarms as well as carbon monoxide detectors .
“For a free safe and well visit to check your alarms please contact the station on 01539 713667.”
