A CLOSING night preview of a popular art exhibition inspired by the theme of remembrance is due to take place.
South Lakes Art Collective has been running a free exhibition at The Factory in Aynam Road, Kendal focussed on the act of remembrance.
The exhibition, which has been on since October 2 and will conclude in December 17, features the work of a number of renowned artists including Mark Gibbs and Monica Metsers.
Altogether, there is approximately 60 pieces on show at the exhibition, including a mixture of sculpture, glass art, paintings, drawings, lino cuts and photography.
As the exhibition nears its end, organisers have decided to run a closing night preview on Friday December 17 from 7pm until 9pm.
Tim Leeson and Denny Derbyshire, SLAC co-ordinators, said: "We are very pleased with the diversity of the exhibition and we are both encouraged about new members that have submitted and been accepted for the exhibition.
"We are also glad to utilise Space2create fantastic exhibition space."
