PUPILS got on their bikes and raised hundreds of pounds for an end of life care charity.
Students from Oversands School, Witherslack, pedalled around Coniston Water to raise funds for St Mary’s Hospice.
The school’s care manager Karen Appleby, along with her staff team arranged the charity bike ride where pupils, along with Stuart Dancer and Chis Eddy from Oversands School, were challenged to a 20-mile ride around the water on Saturday, November 6.
The group, upon successful completion of the ride, proudly presented £652.60 to the hospice team on December 8, while enjoying a Christmas lunch at the hospice orangery.
And they are now looking forward to raising more money for the hospice in the future, according to staff.
