Businesses have been reassured that whatever advice and support they need, Cumbria Local Enterprise Partnership (CLEP) can help.

CLEP is offering free bespoke advice to Cumbrian businesses, connecting them with the information, skills and expertise needed to grow quickly and sustainably in what remains a challenging climate.

Through CLEP, businesses can benefit from free expert advice, mentoring, masterclasses and events, as well as a range of dedicated support programmes.

Its advisers will work directly with businesses to create specific solutions to unlock their potential.

Stephen Macaulay, director at YAM Architects Ltd, is one of over 3,000 businesses that have benefitted from CLEP’s business support.

He said: “In any work scenario, particularly when you are busy, it is difficult to allocate time to critique your business strategically.

“The coaching session was a great opportunity to do this in an environment away from distraction.

“During the session we tested ideas, identified and removed ‘the noise’ and distilled the core issues into a clear and concise action list that I will use to make key decisions that will shape the future of my business.”

Jon Power, head of business programmes at CLEP, said: “We’re here to help you to develop your business, whether you’re looking to grow, become more resilient or are ready to explore new markets.

“Our expert advisers can help you to navigate the variety of support available and ensure that you are connected with the right solution for your business.

“Our aim is to help businesses like yours to innovate, be more creative, resilient and adaptable, and to find new ways of accelerating growth, from increased domestic sales through to exporting goods and services across international boundaries.”
