Looking at factors such as top search terms, must-have amenities, accommodation type preferences and average nightly spend, it offers an in-depth snapshot of travel habits and priorities across more than 40 of the country’s ceremonial counties - including Cumbria.

Connoisseurs of Cosiness
When it came to choosing a type of holiday rental in 2021, travellers from Cumbria showed a strong preference for snugness. A cottage was the most frequently selected type of accommodation amongst holidaymakers from this area, followed by cabins in second place and chalets in third.
Dog Devotees
Residents of Cumbria showed devotion to their dogs in 2021, with “Pets allowed” taking the top spot as the most frequently used filter amongst guests from this county. They were also set on making a splash, as the “Pool” and “Hot tub” filters soared to second and third place respectively.
Staycation Stars
HomeToGo guests from Cumbria put staycations in the spotlight in 2021, with almost all of the year’s 10 most popular search terms snapped up by UK destinations:
