FIREFIGHTERS sprang into action yesterday to rescue a stuck cow.
Crews from Appleby and Kirkby Stephen were called to ‘re-moove’ the animal who had become stuck after falling in a slurry pit on a farm.
Team members, alongside the farmers, managed to free the cow safely and reunite her with her calf.
