A BREWERY founded by seven school friends is set to host an event with a renowned beer writer.
Gan Yam brewery, located on Kendal’s Shap Road Industrial Estate, will host a question-and-answer session with Matthew Curtis on February 6 between 2pm and 4pm.
There will also be opportunities to buy signed copies of his recent book Modern British Beer and a pint of cask ale for £16.
Founders Christopher Gibbons, Christopher Talbot, Jonathan Le Mare, Jonathan Rigg, Nicolas Graves, William Burgess and William Wilkinson, who all attended the Queen Katherine School together, hope the event will be the first of many as they plan to run other events with influential beer writers and creatives.
The event is not ticketed but it is advised to book a table in advance.
