Ukulele group back in action after two year hiatus
The ukulele playing Strummers are back after a two-year hiatus imposed by the pandemic.
Based in Burneside, the group set up in April 2013 and now have seventy members of all ages.
They meet each Monday evening at The Bryce Institute in Burneside.
The group plays lots of styles of music from Rock to George Formby and everything in between on a variety of Ukuleles.
And beginners and players of all levels are welcome.
The Strummers have a special section ‘The Fabulous Bryce Street Ukulele Showband and Dog’, who play at care homes, Rotary clubs, W.I.’s, schools and special events.
