KENDAL boxer Taylor Finch has won his second professional bout after a dominant performance which saw him win in every round.

The young boxer turned professional this year fought Naeem Ali to a decision victory on April 22 at the AJ Bell stadium in Eccles, which saw him dominate over four three-minute rounds.

This moves Taylor’s record to two wins and no losses.

He will return to action on July 1 in Bolton.

His father Alvin said: “I am a very proud dad. The kid he was against was very experienced with this being his 87th match.

“It was a very good learning experience for Taylor who won on points and won each round.

“We sold about 90 tickets for this and got a lot of people coming down from Kendal to support him. We even had people who didn’t go to the first one join us.

“He’ll be back in action on July 1 when he’ll be fighting in Bolton against a Stockport fighter.

“Taylor is feeling great. He boxed on Friday, then went out running on Saturday morning. It really shows how much dedication he has.

“Even this weekend he was playing cricket by Sunday. Boxing on Friday, running on Saturday and bowling on Sunday.

“He weighed in at eleven point one and a half stone for this fight as a super welterweight.

“He’ll be off for a few days now; giving himself a breather and will begin the two-month camp he has for his next fight soon.

“I’m so very proud of him and we’re so happy for all the support he’s been given.”
