Kendal Golf Club is hosting a charity day in the memory of a much-loved member who died of cancer in 2021.

The club is hosting two Daniel Bescoby Charity Golf Days in aid of Christie's Hospital on Thursday, June 2, and Friday, June 3.

The club posted on social media: "Danny was a much-loved member of Kendal Golf Club, starting here as a junior and in his early days, was often seen taking on the 'older members' for putting comps to top up his pocket money.

"He was a popular and accomplished golfer, winning the Junior County Championship at 14 and also representing the County Junior team and then Kendal as a member of the men's Scratch League team.

"His legend lives on and what better way than having these golf days bringing hundreds of people together at his favourite club."

The cost is £25 per couple, and the teams can be made up of any combination of men, ladies, and juniors so to enter, please  get in touch with the golf club directly on 01539 733708 or visit brsgolf.com/kendal/opens_home.php.
