A popular food van company based in Kendal lost hundreds of pounds worth of stock after three break-ins over the weekend.
The boss of Harry's Pantry, which also has a cafe in the centre, said he now plans to install more CCTV and motion sensors around the site.
Sam Berry said: "I noticed something was wrong when I saw stock rolling on the floor in one of the vans. The door had been crowbarred open and it was completely vandalised inside.
“Another van had also been broken into. We lost at least £300 in stock and obviously the damage to the vans, plus the inconvenience on the Monday morning."
However he had installed CCTV on the site so was able to see who had damaged the vans.
"On the Friday night a group of teenagers broke in and took what they could,” he said.
“They returned again on Saturday night. On the Sunday night another group of men in their early twenties came in, so they must have been told."
The police have been informed of the incident.
Sam said the community response had been "fantastic."
"Our customers have been very understanding."
