(ABOVE) What appears at first sight to be a weather vane on top of the building on the corner of Maud Street and Stricklandgate.
Built after the opening of Sandes Avenue in 1887, it opened as T. Jackson a provision dealer and family grocer.
During the early fifties it was an annexe to Maud Street surgery, and since the sixties has traded as a caterer by a number of different owners.
