A MUCH-ANTICIPATED new footbridge has finally arrived in Kendal.
The first parts of the new Gooseholme footbridge has been delivered at around 6 am this morning (Tuesday, July 5) at the Story Contracting compound at Gooseholme Park.
The second and final delivery is due to arrive tomorrow (Wednesday) morning, and will then be lifted into place on Wednesday, July 20.
The bridge is arriving in four pieces, weighing 55 tonnes, and will provide a fully accessible, traffic-free link to Kendal town centre.
