TWO Kendal born light engineers took part in the Glastonbury Festival 2022 by creating an incredible spider web laser beam light show.

Danny and Owen Mason of Reach Lasers & Special FX created the incredible show as part of the festival around Arcadia Spectaculars giant fire breathing spider.

Originally from Kendal, the two brothers and business partners have become well known in the industry for their incredible displays.

Company founder Danny said: “It's such an honour to work with what I consider to be the best stage and most visually stunning spectacle in the dance music industry.

“By using super modern fibre beam diode technology, we are able to produce beams of light visible for several miles with a power draw of less than 200 watts for a 32,000mW colour laser fixture, this aligns perfectly with Arcadias vision for sustainability at their events' 21 lasers in total were used, rigged by a team of 6 from the Leamington and Coventry area.

“The show was completely live operated throughout the festival for artists including Carl Cox b2b Chase & Status, Calvin Harris, Camelphat, Kurupt FM, Sub Focus & Dimension. Our next stop with Arcadia Spectacular will be at Valley Fest in the beautiful Chew Valley.

“it's a family friendly festival with plenty of daytime activities and you're encouraged to bring the kids.

“We used to do Kendal Calling a lot and worked as stage managers. We have not done a lot in Cumbria for a little while but we are always interested in doing work up there.

“We originally became involved with Glastonbury as we used to work for the company that provided the bars and we would run light shows.

“It went from there.”
