MUSIC lovers in Kendal will have the chance to hear an iconic baritone and the nation's most popular piece of classical music come together this Saturday night, July 9.
The prestigious Cumbria Festival Chorus is performing Vaughan Williams' masterpiece, A Sea Symphony to mark the 150th Anniversary of his birth and will be joined by Roderick Williams, internationally renowned baritone, as soloist.
Roland Fudge, leader of the Orchestra, will also perform Vaughan Williams' most famous piece for violin and orchestra “ The Lark Ascending” voted top Classical Choice, over many years, by Classic F.M. Listeners.
With a mixed choir of over 100 voices and the famous orchestra, Ian Jones will conduct this epic Concert in his own inimitable style.
The concert will take place in the 700-seat Westmorland Hall at Kendal Leisure Centre on, July at 7.30 pm.
Tickets are £18 at the door, with students and children admitted for free.
