A SOUTH Cumbria MP has said the remaining Conservative leadership candidates offer 'no solutions' to the problems facing the UK.
Tim Farron was critical of the trio - Rishi Sunak, Penny Mordaunt and Liz Truss - that were still in the hunt for the job of prime minister.
His comments came ahead of another candidate being knocked out of the race later today. Kemi Badenoch fell out of the running yesterday, coming last in the MPs' ballot.
Mr Farron, who represents the Westmorland and Lonsdale constituency, referenced the rising cost of living, the housing crisis and climate change as challenges facing the UK.
He said the remaining candidates 'seem to be spending most of their time and energy on attacking each other'.
