GRIDLOCKED traffic on the M6 was an opportunity for a brass band to entertain their fellow travellers.
Driving to Kendal Calling in Penrith on Friday, the band - reportedly Joe Broughton's Conservatoire Folk Ensemble - decided to turn a traffic jam into an actual jam.

Zoe Mattelaer said on social media: "This is Joe Broughton's Conservatoire Folk Ensemble! We were on our way to play at Kendal Calling (we got there in the end, 6 1/2 hours later!)"
Another user said: "It was like hell on earth on the M6 on Friday, I've never known anything like it.
"Good on them for cheering everybody up."
