The Westmorland County Show is back for 2022 and it is set to be a great event.
This year’s show will be set over two days, only the second time in the show’s history that this has been done.
As the event is just under a week away, we’ve rounded up everything you need to know from tickets, parking and schedules of the days.
When is the Westmorland County Show?
The two-day event will take place next week on Wednesday and Thursday, September 7-8.
The show starts at 8am and will finish at 5:30pm, however, gates will open at 7am and close at 6pm.
Where to buy tickets for the Westmorland County Show?
Tickets are still available to buy on the website here. Adult tickets cost £20 per day, concessions cost £18 and children aged 5-15 cost £3.
There is also a limited capacity of tickets on sale at the gate, if still available.
Can you bring dogs to the Westmorland County Show?
Dogs will be allowed; however, they must be on a short, fixed lead and under control at all times.
They will not be allowed in some marquees i.e. The Food Hall and Poultry Marquees.
Is there parking and how much is it?
There is parking for the event and it is totally free. Signposting will be clear and stewards will be on hand to help with your questions.
How do you get to the Westmorland County Show?
By car:
From M6 Northbound
Exit the M6 at junction 35, take the A601(M) Carnforth/ Morecambe/A6
At the roundabout take the second right onto the A6 (1/2 mile)
Follow Show signage
At the roundabout take the 2nd exit onto A6070.
Turn left to stay on the A6070
Follow Signage to the Car Parks
From M6 Southbound
Exit the M6 at junction 36 and follow the signage
From Kendal (west) and the Lakes
From A591 exit at Brettagh Holt/Sizergh and follow A590 Barrow
Follow signage via A6 through Milnthorpe
From Kendal (east)
Follow A65 to Crooklands
From Kirkby Lonsdale A65
Continue on A65 towards Junction 36 M6 and follow signage
From Barrow A590
Exit at Levens Bridge and follow A6 through Milnthorpe
By bus: There will be a free bus from Kendal to the Showground. You can view the timetable here.
By train: The nearest station is Oxenholme Lake District is on the west coast main line. Taxis are also available from the station (5 miles to Showground).
