A DELIGHTFUL array of paintings and ceramics will go on display in Natland this weekend, in a bid to showcase local talent and raise funds for the Village Hall.

The artwork will go on display in the Village Hall between 10am and 5pm on Saturday (March 8) and between 11.30am and 5pm on Sunday.

Last year, 35 local artists exhibited 125 pictures, ranging from local landscapes to delicate flower studies.

The work proved very popular, with 41 paintings sold and over £700 raised for the Village Hall.

However, this year could prove to be the best yet.

Lynden Carter, who helped organise the event, said: "The response to the Art Exhibition has been amazing - we have, at the last count, 154 exhibits entered, compared to 125 last year. I just hope we have enough wall!"
