THE National Blood Service has thanked donors in South Lakeland who kept blood stocks healthy over the Easter bank holiday.
Blood supplies come under pressure over the long Easter weekend because many donors go away on holiday, and blood donation sessions are not held over the extended break. However, this year thanks to an excellent response from donors blood stocks remained at healthy levels.Next week there will be two sessions in the South Lakeland area. The first will be on Monday (April 21) at the Castle Green Hotel, Kendal, between 2pm and 4pm and 5.30pm and 7.30pm. The second session will be held at The Peoples Hall, Howgill Lane, Sedbergh, at the same times.
