TRAFFIC problems are being experienced on the M6 southbound near Carnforth after a Land Rover skidded out of control and ended up on its roof.
Police and the Highways Agency headed to the scene after an accident took place between junction 35, near Carnforth, and junction 34, near Lancaster.
The accident occurred after a Land Rover Freelander overturned in lane three, resulting in lanes two and three having to be closed.
Police have confirmed that only minor injuries were sustained as a result of the accident and that only one vehicle was involved.
The Land Rover has now been righted, but there is still only one lane in operation to allow the road to be gritted and fuel spilled during the accident to be cleared.
