A DANGEROUS crossing for schoolchildren is in desperate need of patrol, say town councillors.
Pupils at Croftlands Infant and Junior schools in Ulverston are without a crossing officer and Coun Norman Bishop-Rowe feels something needs to be done.
He said: "Children are crossing and recrossing Mountbarrow Road without supervision and it can be quite busy at times. I think it does cause concern for safety."
The matter will be discussed at a future town council meeting.
