AN investigation has been launched in Windermere after an assault.

Police are investigating an attack which occurred at around 3am on October 2 on Glebe Road, Bowness on Windermere. 

Two women, one in her 40s and one in her 50s, were walking along Glebe Road away from the Wheelhouse and were approached by a man who punched both in the face.

Both women suffered minor facial injuries.

The man is believed to be in his mid 20s with short blonde hair and was of slim build.

Police are looking for witnesses who were in the area at the time of the assault and also anyone who has mobile phone footage as it is believed there may have been people recording the incident on their phones.
