Popular Ulverston event Retro Rendezvous kicks off its 2023 fundraising calendar with a pre-World Cup film night and social.
Based at the Roxy Cinema and downstairs in the Laurel and Hardy Museum, the event will feature a full film of the 1966 World Cup, with a twist.
A spokesman said: "It’s pretty grim times for many people at the moment so we wanted to do something fun and joyous. It might sound a bit unusual but at half time in the game, we’ve got a reverse karaoke, giving us an audience singalong to some England classics. With a social before and after in the Laurel and Hardy Museum, it should be a night dripping in positive nostalgia and it’s definitely not just for football fans."
The event takes place on Thursday November 17, setting everyone up for the 2022 World Cup.
