REMEMBERANCE day is coming up with services and parades honouring people who served happening across the region.

This is where you can go to pay respects.

1. Kendal

There will be services in Kendal on Armistice Day on Friday, November 11 at 11 am. People will gather at the war memorial in the market place for wreath laying and the remembrance service.

There will be another service at the war memorial on Sunday, November 13 at 9.30 am. This will be for wreath laying and the parade. 

2. Ulverston

The Hoad Monument will be lit red on November 11. 

On Sunday, November 13 the parade will be in the afternoon. The parade starts at 2.15 pm from the British Legion on Brogden Street led by Ulverston Town Band. 

The parade will go to Ulverston Parish Church via Cross St, County Sq, Theatre St, Benson St, Queen St, King St, and Church Walk for a service at 2.30 pm.

The parade reforms after the church service at around 3.30 pm and returns via Church Walk, and King Street to the War Memorial for a short service and wreath laying. 

3. Grange

On November 11 there will be an 11am service and a two-minute silence at the War Memorial in Ornamental Gardens. 

On November 13 there will be a civic service and presentation of wreaths at St Paul's Church at 2 pm. There will be a parade at 3 pm along Main Street from the church to the War Memorial. At 3.30 pm there will be refreshments at Victoria Hall. 

4. Kirkby Lonsdale

There will be a Royal British Legion (RBL) Poppy Appeal coffee morning at Lunesdale Hall. There will be a cake stall, book stall, and a raffle, and it will observe a two minutes silence at 11 am. 

The RBL will also be doing a guided walk on the same day from 11.30 am, with blue badge guide Tessa Pike sharing her knowledge of the personal histories of the wartime residents of the town. 

On Sunday November 13 the parade will start from Market Square at 10.15 am, led by Kirkby Lonsdale Brass Band. The parade continues to the War Memorial at St Mary's church for a service at 10.30 am. 

5. Windermere

The RBL has asked people to meet at Goodley Dale at 2.15pm on Sunday ready to march to the war memorial at 2.20pm. A brief service will be held but will not be followed by the usual march to Bowness.

6. Sedbergh

At 11am on November 11 there will be an act of remembrance at the war memorial, St Andrew's Churchyard. A service will then be held at 10.30am at the church on Sunday followed by an another act of remembrance at the memorial at 11.30am and Sedbergh Town Band playing a concert at 7.30pm back at the church.
