KENDAL'S oldest Inn is bringing live music back into the pub.

The event will take place at Ye Olde Fleece Inn on December 2, with Cumbria's two-piece Shelly's Bane as the live act.

Front house manager Josh Farrant, said: "Friday nights started to drop off a little bit recently around Kendal, so I have been looking at ways to make them more exciting and bring people back in to the pub.

"Having bands playing it is going to be a really good away to encourage people to come down and make Friday nights a little more exciting for everyone."

The last music event held by the pub was in October as part of Kendal's Music Festival.

Mr Farrant added: "Before that [festival], it has been years since we had a live act here at the pub".

"As someone who grew up playing in bands, it is always really cool to have places to play. There is quite a few pubs and venues around here that do host live music, so join in with those will be amazing to create an actual live music scene in Kendal."
The event begins at 8pm, and entry is free.
